Is everyone busy?

Dear family,

I'm missing your input on our blog sight. Spring has sprung in MN. and we're loving it. We're starting on some outside work. Ralph and I started filling in the cracks on our court. The children want to play and ride bikes but in later years the weeds have taken over. It will take time but eventually we will coat it and hopefully put on a few games like four-square and hop-scotch. We want to keep the kids busy in a healthy way.

We have had a fantastic winter health wise. Just today, Ralph and I have come down with some kind of a viral infection..it seems to have hit all over the body. We had not been sick all winter. Praise be to God!

We continue to try to make some order around here with shelving units, bins, etc. Those of you that are close by, do you remember Mom and Dads green buffet? It was in the dining room on Halsey St. under the picture window. Mom and Dad cut the legs shorter to fit it under the window. Anyway, we need to move it out and it is an antique. Does anyone remember where it came from? We had a built in buffet on 1711 and another built in at 4613. For awhile the Magnuson's used it in their home but when Ralph and I moved, they gave it to us. We don't have room for it in our dining room. Steve and Dan, did you have it in your home on Mineral St?

Let us know if anyone is interested in it. Hopefully you haven't forgotten about this blog site.

i think that buffet was also in the dining room on 1711 along with the built in one. I think it was on the east wall. Of course i can't trust my memory so usually my pat answer is 'i forgot'.

Larry Norman is on the side music. Is that new?

If you go to the post below and click on the volcano website there are hundreds of good photos of Redoubt. It was clear of clouds last week and it was putting up a very good plume - much bigger than my photos.

We still have over a foot of snow and also lots of water running from temps in the 40's.

Yeah, I've been negligent at this post. We've been overwhelmed with current situations. 1. Sending Jonathan off to his post graduate options has been taxing. 2. Peter has finished his associates degree in surveying and we have been trying to find a paying position for him in this trying economy. 3. Our precious dog, George, has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and we are all dealing with and grieving the situation. I'll take Jean's comments to heart. More to follow soon.

So sorry about your dog, George. I can imagine your busyness, too. I remember nearing graduation with our children and just keeping up with it all.
I'm keeping busy with the children; starting next week for 4 weeks it will be unusually busy with both grandgirls going off to preschool 5 days a week and I'm driving. It will give Rhi a chance to get out with children her age for a little while.
Has anyone ever had food poisoning? I remember Dean did once. Ralph and I and neighbors went to a surprise 50th birthday party and ate a variety of foods, buffet style. Don't know what the culprit was but that was our problem when we first thought we had a virus. Don't try it, you won't like it!
