Prom
Alyssa went to the prom with Richard Lindstrom last night. A great time was had by all.
It's time once again to vote for the clever clue of the month. Vote here.

Three Tiers
Still no resolution of the scanner problem in the Lake Elmo sector. Just to confirm my ongoing existence, here's a picture of Jon and friends watching the Twins game. At first, George was on Jon's lap, but then the neighbor dog, the one we were dog-sitting, tried to jump atop George. Pandmonium ensued and this was the final arrangement. (Not only is the scanner not working, but we've lost our camera! I can't even take a new picture! And then our computer is starting to make strange sounds. Sigh!)

The e Round Robin: The Honeymooners
The e Round Robin: The Honeymooners
For some reason I have forgotten how to post a comment besides the normal comment under the pictures. We just heard that Gordy Bjorlin passed away. Please pray for the family. June had an extremely difficult time in the last few years. Gordy had Alzeimers. He lived home for awhile but then had to be placed in nursing care. It was very difficult for her to maintain the standard of living that they had been used to as a couple. Most of their income went to his care. At least Gordy is free from the suffering he experienced on earth. Praise God!

Visited a great blog
Today when i got home from work i checked our blog and then clicked on 'next blog' to see if i could find a good one. On about the second try i ran across chinatrip2006 (use link on the title to see it). It is one of the best designed blogs i've ever seen. His photos and writing were very good, and he can group several photos together. I made a comment to ask him how he does it. When the comment box came up music plays! Maybe some of you computer geeks can get some ideas for us from this example.
The photos are from Butchart Gardens not China.

Rats
I got those shoe boxes from Dean full of slides from the early Lindstrom years as well as five or six missing years from the Stynsbergs. I was raring to go to start scanning them and posting them. But my scanner suddenly decided to quit responding. Even though it's only a year old it may be kapoot. So don't expect any slides from the north metro until I sort out this mess.
Browsers
Firefox
Internet Explorer
Mark, in response to your comment on the 'Burning Wood' post - I was experimenting a little bit with manually changing the size of pictures after up-loading them. Things turned out quite a bit different in Internet Explorer than they did in Firefox (see above). (I'm a bit old-fashioned - I still use IE most of the time - it works best for editing my web-site.) From now on when I 'experiment' I will need to see how it's 'playing' on Firefox.
Coffee Anyone??
We were at Buchart Gardens in Victoria BC a couple of weeks ago, and almost all of the photos looked like an ad for Starbucks coffee. As you can see it is spring in some places. We came back to Alaska on the 5th so we could experience spring for a second time this spring. It snowed 2" on the night of the 10th. Check out marksalaska for more coffee photos.

I'm back
I hope you weren't expecting blood and guts? All my lacrosse pictures are rated "G". But the game was one of the more memorable sporting events I have been to. It didn't hurt that we were in the third row and The Swarm, despite being down like 5 to 1 in the fourth quarter, came back and won in the final seconds.

Hockey vs. Lacrosse
I just went to Mark's Alaska to view the damage. I think Mark is playing too much hockey. What does Lois Ann think? During spring break the boys and I went to watch The Swarm at the Xcel Energy Center. I had no idea how violent Lacrosse is! I'm not just talking fist fights and bodies sprawled writhing in agony but the general flow of the game full of slams and checks and sticks swinging wildly. Makes hockey look like a knitting club.
By the way for the last few days I've been having trouble posting to the blog. Even today, it would not let me include a picture of the lacrosse game. Anybody else having trouble? I'm not even sure if it will let me post this. Here goes. . .
