Summer siding away
The rose hips are all out now and very red. They are loaded with vitamin C.
It poured outside last night and this is a wet fireweed plant. We are starting to get frost on the ground in the morning.
The siding is finished on this side except for some painting. If you click on the title of the blog you will open a page that tells how to put up cement siding. Dan was wondering.
Here is a view from my neighbors lot of the south side. This is a nice quiet neighborhood and lake.

This reminds me of when we built the block foundation for the garage/addition to our house. There was a technique that a U.S. gov. paper recommended where you built the blocks dry with no mortar and then covered the walls with a fiber bond material. A neighbor who build foundations for a living told us we were crazy. For all I knew he could have been right, but we went ahead and did the fiber mortar method. . .and 25 years later our garage/addition is in tact.
