Closing Kenai plant
Looks like our plant is really shutting down this time. You can read the article by clicking on the title above. We'll be working until December or January with a few staying a few months longer. Thankfully this has been a great job for over 30 years and it is close to retirement time anyway. We were forewarned of this for several years and able to get ready for the final announcement.

I'll try again and quit for today.
I tried to reapply and perhaps it worked. Congratulations on 30 plus years of service. I must quit because I have a few more things on my plate than playing here.
Hey everyone. This is Alyssa...one who has always read the blog but never contributed. I just wanted to let everyone know about something I'm doing tomorrow. I will be going to the Mall of America to join with World Vision's 6000 step walk for orphans. This is an event for raising awareness about the AIDS pandemic--we walk 6000 steps because about 6000 children are orphaned each day because of AIDS. We are also raising money to help those most severely affected by AIDS. If any of you are interested in learning more about it or donating some money, you can visit my fundraising page at www.firstgiving.org/alyssastynsberg. Thanks!
Wow, end of an era and the first of the siblings to retire. Though both Steve and I have said often that neither of us can retire because neither of us has ever had a job to retire from. But I suppose at least now that you are retired you will finally come down here and live in a real house in a real state. Though that wouldn't be such a good idea for me cuz when I'm in a casual conversation with strangers I get a lot of mileage out of saying, "I have two brothers who live in log cabins."
