She has been a great governor with a high public approval rating for the short time she has been there. She wanted to clean up politics in Alaska which she has, she is a strong christian, pro-life, has 5 kids and a good alaskan husband who works on the slope and has run several times in the Iron Dog snow-machine race which is a very tough race. She pushed through the gas pipeline which will be a giant project in a few years. She is a people person who hopefully can get some of government out of the hands of big business and maybe help plain people.

Politics can be fun. I thought this was a brilliant pick for McCain! It affirms his "maverick" position and didn't look like a "political" choice--although maybe it was. And it might take away Obama's "change" card.
