This is a happy/sad photo. We rented the trailer and drove around Lake Superior for a week or so. The trip one of the biggest adventures our family had ever gone on. I remember one place that had hundreds of miniature frogs, also the great scenery, the bridge and locks at Soux St Marie...
The sad thing is that about a week after returning home Mom died after her operation.
Wow - what a great picture! ...and I love the Wordsworth quote - that pretty much nails it on the head - not only for this photo but for many of them.
Did we rent the trailer? Borrow it? We didn't own it did we?
Can you imagine how Dad must have felt when Mom died following such a simple operation. Furthermore, he could have had a vasectomy instead of Mom having surgery. Now the tubal ligation is so simple a woman doesn't even have to have an incision like Mom would have had. I sure think of her when I hear of people contracting staph infections such has what we have heard in the news, recently.
Yes, we rented the trailer. Just think we all rode in that car and we didn't have car seats.
The car had seats though!
But there was plenty of room to stand!
I don't recall ever seeing this photo.
Jean, is tubal ligation also known as "hysterectomy"?
No, Dean. The tubal ligation is just cutting the fallopian tubes so the eggs can't be fertilized. A hysterectomy is removal of the womb and a radical hysterectomy is removal of the womb and the ovaries. I had that because of endometriosis.
