Fundraising

In case you hadn't noticed, Peter is an introvert. I too am an introvert so I have some empathy for his situation. I have tried to impress upon him a saying that my friend, Richard Roach, often said to me. . ."Your greatest asset is also your greatest defect." One of the defects of an introvert is the inability to say what you want to say at the time it should be said.

Peter is supposed to be raising money for a swim-a-thon for his swim team. Their "touch pads" are old and worn out and they're trying to raise funds for new ones. They have set aside a time during winter vacation where the team is going to attempt to swim 100 miles total. He tried but missed two golden opportunities to get donations: 1. Our annual church Christmas party 2. The family get-together at the Stynsbergs and again at the carlsons.

Anyway. . .if anybody would like to donate money to the cause (assuming they hit their 100 mile goal) let me know. So far we have had donations ranging from $5 to $50. Any amount is greatly appreciated.

With the internet Peter could do spam mail, spam pop-ups, or spam blogging and he wouldn't have to say a word. We will donate something.
