The reason we went to Thunder Bay was to have Christmas with Steve who was a fugitive from justice in those days. That fall I had begun my conscientious objector service with Uncle Carl's church in Soldotna Alaska. Carl's mom died in December so we came down for her funeral and stayed for Christmas. As you can see I was dressed in the Alaskan style.
It's funny I never realized why you served in Alaska. I thought you went to serve but didn't remember you were a conscientious objector I noticed the bellbottoms that Paul and I have on.
