We often butcher a few turkeys on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. This was Junior's first year to help and he really got into it today!

Junior sitting on the eggs was funny. Junior bloodied from the battle is somehow funnier and at the same time even more poignant.
Just this morning we were shocked to see, for the first time, a dozen turkeys in our front yard. Even more amazing was our cat, Stormy, out there attempting to sneak up and pounce on them! They were, easily, three times his size.
It is very interesting to see interactions between animal species here on the farm. Buffy (Junior's mom) follows me out to the pig yard. The other day I was out there for quite a while. She ventured into the pig yard. I was a little concerned what might happen between the cat and the pigs. They just sniffed each other out. No one tried to hurt the other. It was fun to watch.
