Also, someone left a plastic handle that appears to connect with a tupperware container and a pink clothespin at the family reunion. Would either of these be yours by any chance?

No picture of the plastic handle?
It seems I have not taken the opportunity to join this phase of bloggermania, though I have been enjoying the pictures very much, and I have read many blogs in the past, such as Little Green Footballs, Powerline, Hugh Hewitt, etc.
I do have a good excuse: Amy is rooming in what for a while was/is the computer room, it's just not as convenient as in the past.
I doubt that we will be going to the fire dept, though it sounds like a great time!
