I knew John used a wood stove. But my faulty memory did not contain how serious he was about it. I would be curious to see a typical supply of Steve's winter pile compared to John's.
And Ruth didn't like the wood stove :-)
You can see what a perfectionist he was in some ways!
He bought it cheap -or maybe free- from a paper mill, I think. It was scrap at the paper mill, but was good Oak wood. It was the outer part of the wood.
